『나의 국가디자인전략』은 대한민국의 높아진 위상 뒤에 가려져 있는 문제점들을 살펴보고, 한국이 행복하고 안전하며 경쟁력이 있는 나라로 나아가기 위한 방법과 체계를 안내한다. 그리고 국가통일, 국토통일, 민족통일, 문화통일로 신세기 인류문명을 주도해 나갈 통일한국으로서의 도약을 위해, 지향해야 할 다섯 가지 목표를 제시한다. 문화강국 대한민국, 창의대국 대한민국, 녹생공생 대한민국, 유니버설 대한민국, 도약하는 통일한국이 그것이다.
