Chapter 1 looks at Seoul, one of the world's most exciting and lively cities. The 500-year history of the Joseon dynasty, the fashion-lined streets of Myeong-dong and the residents of Seoul as they work, play and relax along the Han River are all examined along the same lines. The book does a thorough job of presenting different scenes from Korea through a wide range of subjects.
