K~ Grade 5까지의 총 6단계로 알파벳을 접하는 순간부터 영어의 Four Skills를 학습할 수 있도록 하여 균형잡힌 영어학습을 가능하게 해 줍니다. 또한 각 단계별로 다양한 자료 및 구성물들을 통해 교과 과정에 필요한 적절한 언어능력을 길러주는 전략은 물론 언어 습득 과정에서 학생들의 요구와 맞아떨어지는 다변화된 지침들이 제공됩니다.

어린이들이 프로그램을 접하는 순간부터 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기에 골고루 능숙해질 수 있도록 균형잡힌 학습을 유도하며, 또한 수업 과정 중간에 합류하는 학생들도 곧바로 적응할 수 있도록 효과적인 발판을 마련해줍니다.

소설, 비소설, 시,연극, 픽션, 논픽션 등 여러 가지 읽기 유형을 포함하고 있어서 실제 생활에서 접할 수 있는 다양한 읽을거리를 제공합니다. 제시되는 주제들은 어린이들이 쉽고 친숙하게 느끼는 주변 혹은 일상생활과 연관되어 있어 어린이들로 하여금 본 책이 '딱딱한 본문과 단어의 단순 암기 학습'의 의미보다는 '일상 이야기 속에서 느끼고 체험하고 이해하고 습득하는 총체적인 학습'으로 다가가도록 해 줍니다.

선생님이 어린이들에게 일방통행적으로 지식을 전달하는 방식에서 벗어나, 선생님과 학생, 학생과 학생 사이의 쌍방향 액티비티를 통해 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기 전 영역을 균형있게 발달 시킬 수 있도록 고안되었습니다. 과거 ESL 환경 학습자들에게서 보이던 Four Skills 간의 불균형을 효과적으로 극복할 수 있는 체계적인 프로그램입니다.
