Samantha (Sammy) Joyce is hard-working, idealistic and extremely competent - as well as just a little bit of a daydreamer. In between practising for life after sudden loss of a limb, attack by a bear or other potentially unforeseen dramas, she throws herself into her job as a health care analyst for a junior Ohio senator. In the midst of her lobbying and late night dinners, Sammy meets speechwriter Aaron Driver who is gorgeous, sweet and smart. The only problem is that he works for another senator, in competition with Sammy's boss.
